Dr. Jon A. Heezen became a dentist to provide healthcare in a rural area where there was no other dentist who can perform all aspects of dental care in one setting. Helping people meet their oral health needs is something he feels passionate about, especially while assisting them with something they cannot do themselves.

Education and Affiliations

Dr. Heezen received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He was student council president as well as class president for 4 years. He is currently involved in the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship track, which benefits his patients by allowing him to stay on top of the constantly changing field of dentistry. Dr. Heezen is affiliated with the:

As a native of Plankinton, South Dakota, Dr. Heezen moved to the rural Slayton area in high school. In his spare time, he enjoy spending time with family, traveling, fishing, camping, and hunting. Through excellent service, hometown friendliness, and up-to-date technical skills, he hopes to make his patients’ lives better.
